How to select Each Good Maid?

Singaporean have done their sums, Maids are by far the cheapest way to outsource household tasks and we’re not just talking about saving $50 a month. Having a live in each Maid at your beck & call every second of the day can cost even less than getting a cleaning lady to come in once a month.

• What is your Needs & Expectation of each Maid?

  A Maid matches your expectation is the best Maid.
  Before you engage each Maid, list down your expectations of each Maid.

• Budget

  How much are you willing to pay?
  Experienced Maid usually cost higher monthly.
  Philippino Maid cost higher also due to the fluency in English.

• Do you need each Maid to take care of baby/children or elderly parents?

  If you need each Maid to take care of baby, she will need to acquire necessary skills to handle the baby in case of emergency. If your child is very active, Maid will need to be energetic enough to cope with.

• Do you need each Maid to be fluent in English?

  If yes, employ Maid who can speak English.

• Do you have the patience to teach Maid to do household chores?

  If not employing an experienced Maid who has settled in Singapore for at least one contract is recommended.

• House Rules

  Implement house rules and get each Maid to follow, for instance, usage & restriction on personal phone & internet.

• Choose each Maid nationality.

  Go for the language as most people prefer Maids from Philippine.
  Philippino Maid speak fluent English & it requires less time on supervisor & guidance on them.

• Interview each Maid.

  Interview is important as it can tell how well each Maid can speak English and how responsive is she.

• Maid employment history.

  You can refer to each Maid Employment History through Ministry of Manpower’s website to look out for the period of time, length of employment period in which each Maid with each Employer.
